Privacy policy

Local mirroring.
Practical privacy.

This policy explains what WansMirror handles when you visit the website, use the Windows app, request support, or use purchasing and activation services when they are available. Effective August 23, 2026.

01

Your mirrored session stays on your local network

WansMirror receives the iPhone or iPad display and audio directly on the Windows PC. This website does not receive, relay, store, or process the screen or audio you mirror.

02

Website requests and security logs

Like most websites, the server and its network provider process request information such as the requested address, time, browser information, network address, response status, and a request identifier. These records help deliver the site, diagnose failures, prevent abuse, and protect the service.

Write endpoints use a one-way hash derived from the network address for rate limiting. Normal application logs omit request bodies and redact authorization data, cookies, signatures, tokens, activation values, device identifiers, checkout addresses, and database credentials.

03

Purchases and subscriptions

Purchasing is not currently available on the public website. When purchasing becomes available, Lemon Squeezy will host checkout and process payment details. WansMirror does not store payment-card data.

To provide Pro access, WansMirror may receive and store provider customer, order, subscription, store, product, and variant identifiers, billing interval, subscription status, renewal or end dates, and related event timestamps.

04

Activation and entitlement records

Activation sessions and one-time activation codes are stored as one-way hashes, together with status and expiry timestamps. WansMirror stores the entitlement state and a random 32-character installation identifier for each activated Windows installation.

The installation identifier is generated for WansMirror. It is not a Windows account ID, hardware serial number, network address, advertising identifier, or iPhone identifier. Pro supports at most two active device bindings.

05

Software update checks

Update requests can include the installed WansMirror version, update channel, Windows version, architecture, and a random installation identifier used for staged rollout decisions. The update service returns only an eligible, signed release; it does not receive mirrored content.

06

Support communications

If you contact support, WansMirror receives the information you choose to send, such as your email address, product and system versions, and a description of the issue. Do not send passwords, activation codes, entitlement tokens, private keys, or payment-card details.

07

Service providers, retention, and security

WansMirror uses infrastructure providers to host and protect the website, and will use Lemon Squeezy for payment processing when purchasing launches. Information is retained only as reasonably needed to operate, secure, support, and maintain records for these services, or as required by applicable law.

Reasonable technical and organizational safeguards are used, but no online service can promise absolute security.

08

Questions and requests

Contact [email protected] with privacy questions or requests concerning information associated with you. Some records may need to be retained for security, transaction integrity, dispute handling, or legal obligations.

This policy may be updated as WansMirror services change. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a revised effective date.
